Chisholm TAFE Partners with the Australian Defence Force

Chisholm TAFE delivers leading-edge technical and trade training solutions, program management, professional services, and partnership governance to meet the evolving requirements of the Navy, Army, and Air Force. Through an extensive and collaborative network of TAFE and RTO partners, Chisholm provides a broad range of additional courses to support Defence capability.

By equipping the next generation of Defence personnel with high‑quality, industry‑aligned training, Chisholm TAFE plays a vital role in strengthening Australia’s defence readiness and ensuring the development of highly skilled, trusted technicians.

Delivering Future-Ready Training for Defence Success

In 2025, Chisholm Institute signed two significant contracts with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) to deliver Hospitality and Dental training for Defence personnel. 

Commencing this year, the five-year Hospitality contract will deliver training to Defence personnel. Defence members will complete qualifications in Hospitality and Commercial Cookery (Certificate III Hospitality and Certificate III in Commercial Cookery).

In a separate contract, Chisholm will also deliver Dental training to Defence personnel, completing qualifications in dental and sterilisation techniques. Training packages include Certificate III Dental Assisting, Certificate III Sterilisation Services and Certificate IV Dental Assisting.

Chisholm continues to engage with Navy, Army, and Air Force ensuring responsive, future-ready training programs that meet Defence's evolving needs. Our expertise in program management, training solutions, professional services, and governance has been key to building and maintaining this successful partnership which will see Chisholm deliver trade training to the next generation of Defence Force recruits at HMAS Cerberus.
