Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
When you complete the accredited Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card) course, you will be able to demonstrate personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely and prevent injury or harm to self and others.
This course is to transition you into the construction industry or if you need a White Card to undertake work on construction sites.
After completion of the training, you will be able to demonstrate personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely and prevent injury or harm to self and others.
You will learn a range of skills, including:
• Identifying and orally reporting common construction hazards.
• Understanding basic risk control measures.
• Identifying procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies.
• Correctly selecting and fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work.
Entry requirements:
• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You will need to provide photographic ID on the day of the course.

• You must be able to speak clearly and understand spoken and written English.
• You will need to be able to follow simple pictorial safety instructions and written safety instructions in English.
• The use of translators or technologies such as Google Translation App or similar is NOT permitted in this course.
