Learn basic silver smithing skills and techniques to make a set of sterling silver stacking rings

In this beginner-friendly course, you’ll learn the essential skills and techniques to create your own set of sterling silver stacking rings – perfect for everyday wear or thoughtful handmade gifts.

Over two relaxed and creative sessions, you'll be guided through the basics of silversmithing, including:

• Measuring silver accurately to make rings in your exact size
• Sawing, forming, and soldering
• Filing and finishing
• Adding texture and decorative elements
• Polishing and oxidising for a professional finish.

Each ring you make will build your confidence and help you learn new techniques – from preventing marks while forming, and adding your own hammered textures or embellishments.

This is a great starting point for anyone wanting to explore jewellery making. The skills you’ll pick up here will set you up beautifully for more advanced projects, like bezel setting stones in rings.

No experience needed – just come along, get creative, and enjoy the process!

Your safety is important to us! For all workshops, we ask that you wear closed-toe shoes and tie back long hair while working with tools and equipment. We’ll provide safety glasses and an apron to help keep you comfortable and protected throughout the session.
